The thought of joining a gym mainly comes from your inner urge to have a better and toned body. You become disciplined in your habits and workouts. You set targets and goals, work on your eating habits and workouts to try to have a balance of proteins, carbs and various nutrition strategies necessary to achieve a better body. But sometimes the results either take a long time to achieve or you may even find that you are unable to achieve the desired results and find the opposite happening.

Replacement Therapy And Bodybuilding

Testosterone plays a vital role in your quest for bodybuilding. Testosterone Replacements Therapy is impossible to be used as a shortcut of sorts as the prescribed amounts are too low. Some people use substances like testosterone at extremely doses to help alter their bodies and build bodies faster than even what nature intended.

The purpose of Testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) is to return your levels to normal and not a shortcut to turn you into a champion body builder. This therapy is only to help you to replace your missing testosterone. This therapy is ineffective if your testosterone levels are normal. If these are abnormal i.e. lower than what they should be according to your age and sex only then Testosterone Replacement Therapy might be right for you. If you are unable to lose fat or gain muscle then you may be suffering from low testosterone as this is the hallmark symptom.

All that being said, TRT helps you to get into your desired shape in case you have abnormal testosterone levels. But it simply cannot be used as a shortcut to get quick and desired effect –it’s not like some magic to beat the system and help people.

Supplements as the name itself suggest, help to get the necessary nutrients needed for body building. Combined with a good diet, these Supplements, when taken right, give you an advantage and make it easier to build muscle and get desired results.

The two questions often asked are:

  1. What supplements do you take and is it working?
  2.  Can only consuming whole food help you build a better physique?

The answer to both questions is yes. Like the guys back in the 50’s did, you too can build a better body on a real good diet but to do so can take so much time, energy, and several trips to the supermarket. Believe me, with supplements, you don’t need to eat selectively.

Bodybuilding supplements are dietary supplements marketed specifically for those involved in bodybuilding, weightlifting and athletics. Most widely used are protein, vitamins,  glutamine, meal replacement products, weight loss products, branched-chain amino acids (BCAA),  essential fatty acids, creatine, and testosterone boosters used for Testosterone Replacement Therapy (TRT) as mentioned earlier. When used specifically by bodybuilders the salience and frequency of bodybuilding supplements to be used may differ as compared to that consumed by the general public. These supplements are marketed as a product to enhance weight gain, promote weight loss, replace meals or improve athletic performance.

Sports supplement is needed to improve one’s athletic performance with regards to nutrition and diet. Nutrition is an important part of many sports training regimens (such as weightlifting and bodybuilding), being popular in strength sports and endurance sports (e.g. cycling, running, swimming, rowing). Sports Nutrition focuses on the type, as well as the quantity of fluids and food taken by an athlete. Sports Supplements include the consumption of nutrients such as vitamins, minerals, supplements and organic substances that include carbohydrates, proteins and fats.

All in all be it an athlete, bodybuilder or just someone serious about fitness, your nutritional needs differ from that of the average person who is not into workouts. Certain Multivitamins make it easy to get essentials. They help give a range of vitamins and minerals upto the highest levels easy to digest.
